 APC Products & Services

The Advanced Practice Center at Tarrant County Public Health appreciates your interest in our mission: advancing public health preparedness through innovation. This site will help you learn about and use the products and services we've assembled to facilitate:

  • Biosurveillance: We're using and testing software systems that let users view and analyze a spectrum of health-related data from our partners in a North Texas regional community of public health practice. This data helps yield  insights on community health patterns and early awareness of outbreaks.
  • Workforce development: We're developing tools to help public health agencies assess competencies, deliver training, plan and conduct exercises, and evaluate results. We focus on chemical and radiological terrorism, volunteer recruitment and retention, and all-hazards emergency preparedness.
  • Preparedness planning and readiness assessment (PP&RA): Our assessment methodologies and training guides serve public health agencies, the medical community, businesses, and volunteers. Our materials cover a broad range of topics, including chemical and radiological event preparation, use of personal protective equipment, and triage.

You can learn more about the APC and subscribe to our newsletter. We value your feedback. If you have a suggestion, question or comment about this site or you encounter a technical problem, please contact us.
