 About Advanced Practice Centers

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) currently funds eight local public health agencies as Advanced Practice Centers (APCs). Building best practices, APCs combine forces to help LPHAs prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies.

What APCs Do

APCs seek to advance public health preparedness through innovation by:

  • Developing advanced tools and resources to share with LPHAs
  • Sharing lessons learned through their own preparedness efforts
  • Serving as model demonstration and training sites.
